If you live in Cambridge, Mass., and like art, you may want to check out a new project in the works.
Per a press release, Kush Groove Dispensary is teaming up with local artist Rich Gomez to paint a mural of a life-size urban-pond turtle on a walking path between the city's Watertown and Cambridge borders.
The mural, which will be completed in November 2023, was crowdfunded on Kickstarter.
"This initiative underscores our commitment to the local community and the celebration of creativity and arts activation," says Marcus Johnson-Smith, Kush Groove's marketing director.
Gomez, who's painted murals for the Boston area for more than 20 years, "has the creative freedom to express their unique voices and styles, as they paint murals that reflect the diversity and cultural richness of our city," Johnson-Smith adds.
The press release notes that Kush Groove has "long been dedicated to supporting the vibrant culture of Cambridge," and that "by fostering a thriving arts scene, we aim to give back to the community that has embraced us and made our Kush Groove brand a beloved local institution for over a decade."
